  1. By sea? Just because it says “ship, shipping or shipped” doesn’t mean it will ever be on a ship.

In fact, if the “package” weighs less than 90 lbs – and is being sent to you by an individual, a retailer, or a wholsaler that sells to the public, by default, it will never see the deck of a ship.

Years ago. there was an International Postal Treaty which allowed the creation of an International Postal Service Union – of which most countries on this planet participate, including the Czech Republic.

All particapating countries in conjunction with the International Postal Service Treaty and Union voted to eliminate “surface mail”. Which means any mail or parcel post package weighing less than 90 lbs will automatically be sent via air mail. The elemination of International “surface mail” of course means they eliminated mail traveling by land or sea.

The cheapest “low priority mail service” will in most cases deliver your package within 7 to 8 days business days from the date it is actually mailed.

For sure however if it is smaller than an elephant and weighs less than 90 lbs, it will never have the pleasure of crossing the ocean on a boat.

Bulk containter shipping however is a different story and very seldom used by retailers or by wholesalers selling to the public.

  2. That would depend on the port on entry in to mainland Europe. If your package is indeed aboard ship and docks in Hamburg – Northern Germany then your package maybe with you within a week of leaving the port of entry. Customs clearance and duty need to be covered beforehand. In total maybe allow for 1 month.
