Nowhere. Anthropology is mainly a field science, and to get a good education in anthropology you need to be exposed to research in the field to some degree, or at least get to do some laboratory work. Since anthropology is the study of human culture and biology in situ, it will do you no practical good to sit at your computer and read about it. It might be interesting leisure reading, depending on your temperament, but that’s about it. And you can do all the leisure reading on anthropology for free, without paying tuition.

If you want to study anthropology, do it the right way. Apply to a university where an anthropology major is offered, and take courses, go to lectures, volunteer in the field, and do your lab time. That would be worth your money and time, not some silly on-line “degree” where you merely read about what’s going on.

  1. I don’t think you can get a degree online in anthropology. You might be able to take a couple of courses as most liberal arts colleges now have to supplement their department budgets by offering online courses – but you won’t be able to do an entire degree online.

And stay away from for-profit schools too – they’re a huge rip off for the most part.

  2. For the inaugural +GDG Sudbury event, we’re watching an episode of The App
Clinic to get a gentle (or sometimes harsh!) introduction into Android
design guidelines. One of our attendees is doing a masters degree focusing
on HCI, so we deferred to his professional interests for meet-up 1 :)

  3. Earlier today on *The App Clinic*, +Ian Ni-Lewis and +Reto Meier took the
scalpel to Worldscope Webcams, Hipmunk, Kayak, FastBooking, and TripAdvisor.

+Roman Nurik and +Nick Butcher will be reskining Kayak and Worldscope
Webcams on Tuesday’s *Android Design in Action*, and join us next Thursday
to hear from directly from some of these developers when we interview them
    in *Android Developers Strike Back*.

We’d love to hear your ideas on how to make the show more entertaining and
useful for you guys, so let us know in the comments.

  4. Was our pleasure! We’re doing “Developers Strike Back” next Thursday at
11:30am Pacific (UTC-7). It’s an chance for the designers and developers of
these apps to talk about your decisions and plans — are you free to join
    us?

  5. I liked the old setup better where you were just casually hanging out in
the office, this is too serious for me! 😀 But the show itself is great!
    Good job!

  6. How should we provide the book feature without using a webview (or going to
the browser) and, at the same time, without going against the rules of play
store? 30% on a ticket is in no way a good solution (using in-app billing)
and it isn’t even a virtual good. So, what options do we have? In one of
your previous app clinic you reviewed an app with the PayPal button in it,
saying it was totally against the rules, am I correct? BTW get rid of the
black background, you went from 5 stars to 3 stars

  7. Great show guys 🙂 Would prefer the old studio too. You talk a lot about
how important it is to have a beautiful and pleasant looking UI and you are
talking in a dark room??? 😉

  8. I think my friend/developer of FastBooking will be your guest on the next
“Developers Strike Back”, my english is not good enough, but I will watch
you as always thank you guys for your great work, we love Android. 🙂

  9. I just stumbled upon this Andriod channel and your reviews. First thanks
for taking the time to do these. I really appreciate it and I am sure other
do, hence the 100’s and 100’s of views. If you do ratings after each app
review, at the end can we have a comparison view, that would be nice 🙂

  10. There’s a bug when watching videos from this channel from the android
youtube app. I can’t see the seek bar nor the hd button. For other videos
    everything works fine

  11. Who would have thought, the new broadcasting time is actually perfect for
watching live. Sorry for the inconvenience though, I couldn’t do that at
    10.30 AM, you’re doing really great 🙂
